ROOTED IN LOVE, by Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Donna-Marie on her blog tour to promote her latest book, “Rooted in Love: Our Calling as Catholic Women,” and she is just as pleasant and gracious to chat with online.

In “Rooted in Love,” Donna shares some of her most intimate life experiences with an aim at bringing hope and healing to the hearts of women of all statuses. There’s a divine camaraderie in each chapter, making it clear she’s joyfully at work fulfilling her calling to reassure women that spiritually we are mothers to all.

I know God’s timing is perfect, but I sure could have used “Rooted in Love” in the first few years of my faith journey. It seems Donna-Marie has gathered into one resource all the riches I’d searched hard for and eventually discovered – powerful Scripture passages, prayers, snippets from the Catechism and great wisdom from the saints.

At the end of each chapter, Donna-Marie offers her own heartfelt reflections and questions for readers to ponder – questions that really motivate us to do what we must to experience the resounding joys of God’s rewards. You can’t have a sound faith life without the treasures Donna offers, and just in time for Christmas, she’s brought them all together, wrapped them up in her warm demeanor and tied them with a big, beautiful bow just for us.
